Welcome!
Welcome! Welcome to the event that put Seymour Wisconsin in the Guinness Book Of
World Records!
You're probably wondering what this town could possibly do to break a world record. Their record was a whopping 8,000 lbs. hamburger in 2000. Well, here is some background information. According to local legend, Charles "Charlie" Nagreen served the first burger in 1885 at the Outagamie County Fair. Now hungry hamburger fans can visit Seymour, the "Home of the Hamburger" and site of the Hamburger Hall of Fame, paying tribute to hamburger inventor Charles Nagreen during the Hamburger Festival. Kids especially enjoy "The Great Hamburger Festival" which features a ketchup slide and bun toss as well as the "world's largest hamburger parade." This year will be the Eighth Year that a Hot Air Balloon Rally is held in conjunction with the Hamburger Festival at the school complex. An average of 25 hot air balloons and their crews have attended the event. Mark your calendars for August 8th to 10th, 2008. Schedule of Events
